It was notable because the character was playable in Sonic 3 and 2 thanks to the lock-on technology of the game Sonic & Knuckles, but couldn't be used in Sonic 1, and for some years the concept of something finally allowing players to use him in said game was seen as the "Holy Grail of ROM Hacking."

Original Games

It has Sonic time travel 10 years to the future, where Dr. Robotnik has already conquered almost all of the world, and he has to help the remaining Freedom Fighters and also find a way to go back. There are two versions of the game, the original for DOS and Windows computers which was never finished and a remake for Gameboy Advance that tried to finish the story.

Sonic Before the Sequel & Sonic After the Sequel

Sonic Before the Sequel and Sonic: After The Sequel are a series of fangames created by LakeFeperd that were released in 2012 and 2013. They take place in-between the original 3 classic Sonic games and show some plot points not seen in them, like Sonic and Tails becoming friends and the Death Egg crashing on Angel Island.

The games are highly praised for good gameplay, graphics and music (though the original released of Before the Sequel only had reused music from other games, getting an update with new songs), and LakeFeperd would later create an original series of games highly inspired by Sonic called Spark the Electric Jester.

Sonic P-06
