Reactions and Reviews
An unusual background story on McCoy. On this Earth, couples must obtain licenses for having children. McCoy's mother, Lillith, and country-doctor father, Spencer, have a license for 6. However, all the children are estranged from the mother, especially Leonard, formerly her favorite, because he has used a transporter and she belongs to a religious group that believes the soul is lost in the transportation beam. In this scene, Leonard has come to say goodbye but she will not see him.[1]
