Lawful Evil is a digital zine focused on the antagonist characters of the Ace Attorney games, featuring 37 artists and writers.
About
Organized by members of the LGBT LAWYERS Discord server, the project would not feature any romantic relationships unless the pairing was canon[1], but familial and platonic relationships were welcome. The mod team also established that "villain" characters that would be allowed in the zine were any character who committed major crimes or were accomplices to a crime. Exceptions to this rule included characters from The Great Ace Attorney: Resolve and Terry Fawles, the former for undisclosed reasons, the latter because the mod team did not like that particular character[2].
The zine was announced on October 15, 2017 on Tumblr and encouraged users to share the post[3]. Sign-ups opened on October 27 to November 26, 2017[4]. To participate, applicants were required to be LGBT, although they would not be screened for proof[5].
The zine was expected to be published in February or late March, but an update on March 10, 2018, reported that the project was behind schedule due to scheduling conflicts and health issues of some of the mods[6]. The zine was released on September 5, 2018 as a freely available download from Google Drive[7].

Characters from any AA game, excluding DGS2, are allowed, and in the actual zine works will be grouped by game so that you can skip over spoiler games. The exception is Terry Fawles who is banned from this zine because I don’t like him.
