What *is* Krycek's fanfic appeal? His dark, mysterious past? The chance he gives writers to flex their angst muscles to the limit? Or the opportunities he gives humor writers to put him in situations others wouldn't be caught dead in? Who cares? :-) Whatever the reason, he's been the subject of many a fanfic. "It's not only fanfiction, but an entire site devoted to the loveably loathsome Alex Krycek. The fanfiction section is essential, in my eyes, because of the huge numbers of fanfic writers and fanfition readers in the online X-Files community. Krycek is a great character to play with in stories, and there's been some great stuff written on him." [2]
