Labyrinthia is a charity fanzine celebrating Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, a crossover game between the two franchises Ace Attorney and Professor Layton.

About

Interest check for the zine began on February 25, 2023, and ended on March 25th[1]. The zine was not open for contributor applications upon announcement, as the team had been selected and already working on the project months prior. The interest check was instead made for gauging the variety of merch that would be considered for the project. After the interest check closed, the zine organizers reported over 100 responses[2].

Preorders opened on April 20, 2023, with the following pricing tiers[3]:

  • Foreword ($8 USD) - Digital PDF
  • Mysterious Story ($15 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital PDF
  • Storybook Ending ($35 USD) - Physical Zine, Acrylic Charms, Sticker Sheet, Die Cut Sticker, Magnet, Button, Digital PDF

On May 29, 2023, the organizers announced a hidden stretch goal had been unlocked, meaning all physical orders would include an additional sticker. Said sticker could be upgraded to an acrylic charm if sales exceeded 50 orders[4]. Preorders were originally set to end on June 4, 2023, but were extended to June 6, 2023[5].

Physical orders began shipping out after October 28, 2023, the deadline for customers to change their shipping address[6]. Leftover sales opened from January 7, 2024, to February 7, 2024[7].

On February 12, 2024, the project's organizer announced that the project was officially complete, with $471 USD donated to Room to Read[8].
