LXF is a Lord of the Rings mailing list. It is one of the first Lord of the Rings mailing lists devoted to fanfiction and was started on January 4 2002 by James. It is probably the first Lord of the Rings slash mailing list. On September 1 2005, James announced that the list would be shut down due to lack of interest; on September 4 2005, Lara was made the new list owner who continues to run the list, even though it has seen no new posts since July 2009.
LXF is a slash fiction and fanart-only mailing list, no discussion is allowed.
