Kristine Batey was a poet, fan writer, and fan artist active in InuYasha fandom. She was best known for writing and drawing The Hero in the 21st Century, a thoughtful, postmodern, post-canon fan comic that was left unfinished after Batey's death.
Outside of fandom, Batey is known for writing the much-anthologized poem Lot's Wife. Batey died of cancer in 2005 at the age of 53.
