Kingdom Haute is a fashion-themed zine featuring characters from the Kingdom Hearts games. The zine was created in honor of the games' 20th anniversary.

About

To commemorate the platinum anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, we will be putting together a zine in the style of a special edition catalog, including "ads" and fashion spreads done by page artists, articles and interviews done by writers, and several multimedia aspects as well, including "samples", proposed music components, "coupons", and other goodies. This will be a physical release, as well as digital, and will include merch bundles; the project is for-profit, in the hopes of helping support our tireless fandom creators who put so much out there for all of us to enjoy.

This will be a gen project, and no blatantly romantic works will be accepted for the final product. All characters, locations, and themes of the series will be fair game.

The zine was announced on May 16, 2021, with an interest check. The response form was closed on July 1, 2021, with a reported count of over 100 responses. Contributor applications were opened on July 9, 2021, for artists, writers, cosplayers, merch artists, and audio. Applications closed on August 31, 2021. After some delay due to circumstances in the mod team's personal lives, responses to these applicaitons were sent out on September 12, 2021.

Preorders opened on April 30, 2022, with the following pricing tiers:

• Trinity Bundle ($25 USD) - Digital Zine
• Sea Salt Bundle ($25 USD) - Physical Zine
• Wayfinder Bundle ($35 USD) - Physical Zine, Brochure, Extension Booklet, Heart Badge, Random Print, Bookmark, Digital PDFs
• Destiny Bundle ($45 USD) - Physical Zine, Brochure, Bookmark, Extension Booklet, Exclusive Poster, Acrylic Charms, Heart Badges, Random Prints, Random Sticker Sheet, Digital PDFs
• Kingdom Bundle ($65 USD) - Physical Zine, Brochure, Bookmark, Extension Booklet, Exclusive Poster, Enamel Pin, Acrylic Charms, Heart Badges, Prints, Sticker Sheets, Digital PDFs

For bundles below the full bundle, enamel pins could be bought for an additional $10 USD. The extension booklet, aptly named the Kingdom Haute Makeup & Fragrance Collection, could be added onto the Trinity and Sea Salt bundles. Stretch goals for physical orders included a 3D charm at 25 orders, washi tape at 50 orders, heart buttons at 75 orders, a Marluxia-themed charm at 100 orders, and a foil upgrade for bookmarks at 120 orders.

Preorders were expected to end on May 31, 2022, but were extended to June 15th and closed as scheduled. Digital bundles continued to be sold afterwards.

Orders began shipping out on November 4, 2022. Digital bundles were sent on December 7, 2022. The project's storefront reopened from December 10, 2023, to January 20, 2023 for leftover sales. The zine was officially complete on February 20, 2023.
