Kidcore is an aesthetic centering around bright, highly saturated primary colors, nostalgia for icons and toys from the 1980s and 1990s, and kid themes. Popular among all ages, it probably started on Tumblr or another site blog, later migrating to other sites. With the current wave of nostalgia, revival and questions about generations, themes such as kidcore have returned to vogue among younger people in a form of cultural affirmation and among older people as remembrance of the past.
