Kaito Wanijima/Lind Wanijima is an incestuous yaoi ship from Air Gear. Kaito raised Lind, Akito, and Agito (who share a body) as his brother(s), but it is later revealed that he is actually their father. Lind is a manga-exclusive character, so he isn't known to fans of the anime.
Canon or Not?
Lind is the last of the Wanijima alters to be introduced, though Akito claims that Lind was the original and he'd simply taken over for the most part. It's hinted that Lind has a stronger bond with Kaito than the other two from the start, with Agito originally mistaking his presence for Kaito, having not been aware of Lind's existence. It is later revealed that Lind is in some way connected with their mother, Gazelle, however, the fandom has some debate over what the actual connection between them is. Due to being a genesis child, she does have a spirit, which could have potentially possessed her son when he was rescued as a baby, so some believe that Lind is her possessing the body. Others read it as Lind being her direct incarnation, which has developed as an alter in the system. However, some fans argue that it doesn't make sense for her to actually be Gazelle because he doesn't act like Gazelle. Lind's personality is different from what we see of Gazelle when she was alive. Since Kaito refers to Lind as "Gazelle", fans feel Lind was conditioned to treat himself as Gazelle, as the inheritor of her powers in the system. If Lind is Gazelle, that makes him Kaito's wife, but regardless of if he is, Kaito sees him as his deceased wife. This causes some debate as to what their actual relationship is, and it's widely defined by how fans read the text.
Trends in Fanworks
Kaito/Lind shippers tend to lean into the complexity of their relationship and whether Lind is his own person. This typically leads to a lot of angst.
