Juletide is a Multifandom exchange patterned after Yuletide. Like Yuletide, it's focus is on rare fandoms, and it uses the same criteria for determining what fandoms can be nominated (less than 1,000 fics) as well as other aspects of that challenge. Except is different in the following ways, it runs in July instead of December, and has a shorter word requirement (600 or 700 words) and a shortened schedule, with nominations and sign ups and such usually starting on July 1st or 2nd, and final author reveals being on August 1st. In terms of Matching, it is typically done on fandom and character. One difference from many other exchanges (but one it shares with Yuletide) is that it's expected to use all or most of the characters requested, as opposed to only expecting the author to use 1-2 or a specific relationship. There's some room to talk about this in author's letter's however, along with other discussions.
