Joanna is a het 91-page Star Trek: TOS novel by Peggy Avant.
From Datazine #55:
McCoy is unexpectedly reunited with his daughter, and they finally reconcile their past. She is attracted to Spock (much to her father's chagrin) and also the unknowing resolver of an ancient Vulcan prophecy. She is attacked by an ardent admirer, Spock is assaulted, and almost dies. Has graphic and sensitive personal insights, reflections, and feelings. Also, what common thing annihilated an entire planet and how. Spock has mellowed a bit, but still a Vulcan.
