Jim Jimenez is a character from Our Flag Means Death played by Vico Ortiz.
Identity
Jim is canonically nonbinary, using they/them pronouns that are casually accepted by other characters including the villains, despite the show being set in 1717. Some fans have spoken about how seeing Jim helped them come to terms with their own nonbinary identity, with nonbinary Latine fans especially valuing Jim as some of the first representation they've seen onscreen.
Oranges
An orange tree figures heavily in Jim's backstory, and they're often associated with oranges in fanart. Their ship name with Oluwande is sometimes called TealOranges, and in the absence of official merchandise for OFMD, fans have taken to treating clothes, cups, and other items with oranges on them as OFMD accessories.
