James Hetfield is well known in the world of music as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the Heavy Metal band Metallica. Self-proclaiming himself as "Papa Het" to the Metallica fanbase. He started Metallica with fellow musician Lars Ulrich in 1981 in Los Angeles, California and they've been friends ever since.
