J.R. Ward (aka Jessica Bird, aka "The Warden") is an author of romance novels, most notably the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
Ward has an anti-fanfiction stance, and has had fanfiction of her novels removed from many websites.[2] Sites such as Fanfiction.net officially ban J.R. Ward fanworks and have no category specified for these, but some fans still post it in categories such as "Books > Vampires" and "Books > Misc. Books".

I think the reason most BDB fic went down is because JR Ward pitched a fit about it, and most sites took it all down.
