The International Costumer's Guild (abbreviated as ICG) is a 501(c) non-profit creative organization centered around the art of costuming (and subsequently, cosplay), bringing amateur and professional enthusiasts together for discussion and promotion of local, educational, and social cosplay events, including conventions. Their members are not solely limited to those in media fandoms, but also include history reenactors, theater fans, sci-fi fans, and more recently, fans centered around social media-based fandoms. It also publishes The International Costumer, both a free, bi-monthly newsletter delivered to members within the guild, and an often-updated online blog which contains useful and interesting staff and member reports in the realm of costuming and cosplay, including its diverse history.
