Intercom One is a 68-page Space: 1999 anthology of reviews, photos, interviews, articles and fiction. It was produced in Denmark.
Note on the title: This zine was intended to be titled simply "Intercom," but due to the death of one of its creators, there was only one issue, which is now referred to as Intercom One.
The publication was delayed by the death of one of its authors (Andresen). Highly regarded by fans, & especially notable for Andresen's authoritative Byrne interview. Perhaps the best early example of fan publishing. Includes 33 poor quality b/w shots of series, plus 19 b/w shots from Blackpool exhibition. Contents include 'Series Response in Denmark,' 'Review: Seed of Destruction,' 'Johnny Byrne Interview' (a mammoth & detailed discussion of series), fiction, short Ina Skriver interview, 'War Games Special' with analysis and detailed effects guide, 'The Future is (Almost) Fantastic' (Filming Mistakes), and 'Blackpool Exhibition Report'. [zine]: Outstanding 68 page fanzine featuring a wide variety of material including an article on Space: 1999's critical reception in Denmark, a great 25 page in-depth interview with Johnny Byrne, "A Textbook Case" - a short story, "War Games Special" - a very detailed analysis of the first season episode, a well illustrated article about the Gerry Anderson Space: 1999 Exhibition "Blackpool Exhibition Report". This wonderful fan produced magazine is liberally illustrated throughout with 'behind the scenes photos' from Space: 1999 and artwork. [2]
