Inspector Gadget was an animated TV series about the titular detective (based on Maxwell Smart from Get Smart and originally voiced by Maxwell's actor Don Adams) who had a body equipped with numerous gadgets that he could summon by saying "Go go Gadget (fill-in-the-blank)." His arch-enemy was Dr. Claw, the never-seen (only his robotic hands were seen and his voice was heard) leader of M.A.D. Each week had him trying to solve a mystery, with unacknowledged assistance from his niece Penny and his dog Brain.
