Why this must be read: I don't know that I can explain why, but aliens-on-earth stories are pretty much my weakness in this fandom. With John Sheppard counting as an alien at this point, whether he would admit it or not. A lovely, understated slash piece about John and Ronon, the characters who feel the most and talk the least, but they still manage to be *present* in this story, for all that. In which Ronon goes looking for John, finds him, and a need for home hangs very real.[1]
