Images are two het Vincent/Diana Beauty and the Beast novels by Debbie Hicks.
Issue 1
Images 1 is subtitled, "Pictures in the Dark", and was published in November 1990. It contains 144 pages. Janine is the artist.
The first in this series intertwines two main storylines. The first focuses on Cindy, a girl who grew up in the Tunnels and always took photos of the world Above for her 'big brother Vincent,' and her return to the Tunnels when she learns she is losing her sight The second story focuses on Diana and Vincent's growing love for each other and all they must overcome to make it a reality.[1]
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1
In this 4th season novel, a tunnel-raised girl, now a photographer, returns when she learns she's going blind. Vincent stops denying his love for Diana. Good psychology, characterization.[2]
Issue 2
Images 2 is subtitled, "A Whisper of Hope... An Echo of Despair" and was published in April 1991 and contains 147 pages. The artist is Molly George.
Second in a series exploring the relationship (sexual and otherwise) between Vincent and Diana has Diana blaming the growing bond with Vincent for her sudden mental instability. Interesting premise and fascinating new character, Robert Wills. Contains questionable scene where Vincent and Diana lose themselves in their passion on Catherine's grave.[3]
Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2
In this first-rate 4th season novel, an unscrupulous re¬¬searcher trying to find the perfect murder weapon secretly experiments on Diana with a despair-inducing drug; Diana blames her state on the bond growing between herself and Vincent. Some sex, not graphically described. Not cheerful, but powerful and insightful; vivid new character Robert Wills, Diana's boss (also in love with her!), is (charmingly; unintentionally) reminiscent of Robert McCall of The Equalizer. Very good reading.[4]
