Summary : A holiday story (PG-13, Angst)

Recs and Reviews

Some stories are just so memorable that regardless of their length (not that I'm complaining) I have to rec them just because I thought about the story so much after I read it. This holiday I read two stories that stuck with me long after I was done reading. They balance each other in a way and so I'm rec'ing them together. First is by Torch. There are so many good things to say about this author I hardly know where to begin and therefore heartily commend you to go to her homepage and read read read. For a poignant and tender, yet I must say somewhat short vignette, read The Entirely Beautiful. Wow. It's just amazing and I carried images from it around in my head for days. And, if you're still feeling just a tad melancholy from the holiday flurry read Illuminate by Kate. Both stories are short and sweet and tender and thought provoking. (I know it looks like I'm bitter about the short thing, but I'm not, I'm just saying.)[1]
