ID-0 is a 12-episode mecha anime featuring Mikuri Maya and titular character Ido, along with the Excavators, as they use I-Machine mecha to mine rare and dangerous Orichalt ore in the far reaches of space. ID-0 had a functionally nonexistent English fanbase from its release in 2017 up until late 2024, consisting of only a handful of fanfics and social media posts. In March of 2025, tumblr users justanothergeek77, shadowwolf240-blog, and ixlankun came together and began making a deliberate effort to "jumpstart" the fandom by creating and posting fanworks on tumblr and Ao3. Although one could consider this burgeoning fandom more of a fan club, the bonds that come from being in such a tiny community cannot be overstated; thus, these users feel the need to document their experience here.
