Author's Comments
I had loved writing the prequel, “Faith Shines Equal”, and so the guys in their AU environment were on my mind quite a bit in the months that followed that story’s posting. I don’t remember my thought processes for this story’s events, but I do know that, for the longest time, I had a scene in mind of the guys sitting around a campfire, a vulnerable Blair resting back against Jim. So, that became the scene that I “wrote up to”, though it ended up being only the middle of the story. It was particularly gratifying, however, when I got feedback from a reader who specifically mentioned liking that very scene. I got about 50 pages into another sequel to this series, but I’m not even sure I still have it on the computer. Maybe it got lost in a hard drive crash.[1]
