Hicksville (AKA.. Sharkbait's Newsies Homepage) was a Newsies fansite. It hosted around 19 fanfics and was part of the Ring of Newsies Fan Fiction.

Why Newsies? A simple question with a complex answer.

First off, there's a lot of different reasons. Some like the dancing in it, others the songs, (Most of us because of the guys.. Heh heh heh). But it's more than that. It's because this is a wonderful movie, that, even with artistic license, is still very real, (Except for the spontaneous-yet-extremely-well-choreographed-dancing-and-singing stuff).

It's the age old story of the little guy versus the giant, David versus Goliath, the yet-to-be-born America versus the English, the Boxwanians versus the Ottoman Empire, (Sorry, little Ernest Scared Stupid reference there), the human spirit against oppression of any kind. It's, in one way or another, the story of each and every one of us.
