Herr Perfekt: A Manfred von Karma Zine is a digital zine containing fanart of the character Manfred von Karma from the Ace Attorney games.
About
The project was announced on December 19, 2019[1]. Potential contributors could begin applying from then to January 14, 2020. A reported 48 applications were submitted to the zine[2]. Applications reopened again from February 17 to February 25, 2020, 2020 due to the departure of two artists[3].
During the creation period, the zine posted the following on June 8, 2020, reassuring followers that the zine is still ongoing since no other updates were posted up until this time:
Hello everyone! So sorry for the lack of posts. Yes, the MVK zine is STILL ongoing and in the works. It was never cancelled :)
It's due to release 7/4 so stay in your seats! We've got so many talented artists participating. It'll be worth a look once it releases!
NOTE AGAIN: This zine is an art only zine. This isn't meant to redeem Manfred, nor is it meant to make him look like a hero. This is a specific villain-centered zine, it is a zine full of drawings of him. There is no harm in drawing him. This isn't meant to forgive him. Thanks![4]
