Happy Endings is a charity zine centered around alternate happy endings for the characters from the anime and manga Banana Fish.
About
Mod applications for a general mod and graphics mod opened from August 14, 2020 to August 21, 2020. Mod applications opened again later for a general mod and social media mod were open from Decemeber 9 to December 10, 2020. Contributor applications ran from August 11, 2020 to September 11, 2020.
Preorders began in April 1, 2021 and ended May 1, 2021, with the following pricing tiers:
- Silver Linings ($15 USD) - Digital Zine
- Peace ($28 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine
- Liberty ($25 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine, Random Postcard, Random Sticker, Necklace
- Sunshine and Rainbows ($35 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine, Random Postcard, Random Sticker, Random Button, Random Keychain, Sticker Sheet, Necklace
- Garden of Light ($45 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine, All Postcards, All Stickers, All Buttons, All Keychains, Sticker Sheet, Necklace
- Perfect Day ($40 USD) - All Postcards, All Stickers, All Buttons, All Keychains, Sticker Sheet, Necklace
Stretch goals featured an enamel pin at 50 orders and washi tape at 100 orders. Orders began shipping out on August 24, 2021, and the digital version of the zine was released on August 29, 2021. Leftover sales ran from May 1, 2022 to June 1, 2022.
To close off the project, its social media account announced that $466.83 USD was donated to ChildSafe [1] on June 11, 2022.
