Hanson Secrets is a LiveJournal community similar to Fandom Secrets, but catering only to Hanson secrets. Because Fandom Secrets was not created until 2007, Hanson Secrets (created 1 November 2005) was probably inspired by ljsecret (created 26 September 2005) or the original PostSecret project.
The original community was created and run by Erin Holland and Katie Wanta before closing to new submissions on October 18, 2008, citing increasing Photobucket paid account fees as the primary reason[1].
The same day that plans to close were announced, two alternative communities, hansonsecrets2 and hitzsecrets popped up. The former was deleted, and the latter never posted its first batch of secrets. Two more copycat communities popped up within the week.
A third version was created by thesnape2mylily on May 13, 2009. Outright bashing of fans and calling them out by name is not allowed, per the community rules. The last post was made on May 13, 2015, but the community has not been deleted.
In 2017, a new Hanson Secrets was opened on Facebook by one of the original community's moderators.
As of January 16, 2018, the original community is watched by 730 people and the third one is watched by 314.
Similar Communities
Several other fandom-specific PostSecret-style communities were created soon after hansonsecrets and named the community as their model:

- rentsecrets on December 7
A number of other "secret" communities were also created around the same time, but appear to have been inspired by ljsecret or PostSecret.
