HIM is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1991 as His Infernal Majesty. Their first album was released in 1997, and their most successful album was released in 2005. Members have included Ville Valo, Mikko "Mige" Paananen, Sami "Juippi" Jokilehto, Juha Tarvonen, Mikko "Linde" Lindström, Oskari "Oki" Kymäläinen, Antto Melasniemi, Juhana "Pätkä" Rantala, Mika "Gas Lipstick" Karppinen, Jussi-Mikko "Juska" Salminen, Janne "Burton" Puurtinen, and Jukka "Kosmo" Kröger.
