The GRAS Star Trek Memory Book was published in 1973 and contains 24 pages. It consists of a short introduction by Maureen B. Wilson (Maureen Bourns) and full page black and white official photos of the original cast and other photos.
Once upon a time there was a man whose idea was not to change the world, but to show what it could be: that we could live with and love people different from ourselves, and that we could learn so much if we didn't fear the unknown.
That idea became STAR TREK. People liked this man/s idea so much that they began to get together to discuss it, to ex- plore the unknown themselves, if only in words, and to communicate with strangers who became friends.
STAR TREK became a picture of a future we could hope for, a group of people we could fall in love with, and an experience we could share. We hope this memory book will help keep it alive for you.
We dedicate this book to the man who single-handedly brought the word 'trek' back into the language - to Gene Roddenberry, with love and devotion, from all his STAR TREK fans and fiends [1].
