Fudanshi (腐男子, literally "rotten boy(s)") and fukei (腐兄, "rotten big brother(s)") are terms for male fans of yaoi media, or of fictional M/M relationships in general.

In 2008 and 2010, Yoshimoto Taimatsu surveyed self-identified fudanshi from the Japanese social networking site Mixi. Yoshimoto found in both surveys that the majority were bisexual, with gay men in second-greatest numbers, straight men in third, and asexual men in the minority. Of the bisexual fudanshi, slightly more of them had a preference for men than had a preference for women.[1]
