The Frankfurt Book Fair (German: Frankfurter Buchmesse) is the world's largest trade fair for books and is open to the public on the weekend. It is taking place in the town of Frankfurt am Main. Every year there are some panels and events relating to fannish interests, especially in the comic related halls.
Book Fair and Cosplay
In 2002 people wearing cosplay were admitted to the fair ground free of charge on Sundays and since then the Book Fair has become one of the popular events with German cosplayers. This was repeated in following years, until the inception of the German Cosplay Championship (DCM) led to more specialised programme aimed at cosplayers, taking place in what is now called Cosplay Corner.
