The Multiverse Triptych is a Stargate: Universe trilogy by cleanwhiteroom of three interconnected Rush/Young focused Alternate Universes. Force over Distance is meant to be read first, while Mathématique and Ad Noctum can be read in any order or together.

Many chapters have been podficced by Elementals, and are available on www.readbyelementals.net.

The Trilogy's Content

Force over Distance

Force over Distance is the first work in the series, and is a Rush/Young/Destiny story, which diverges from canon by having Rush and Young mentally linked after Young pulls Rush out of the Destiny's interface chair.

Mathématique

Mathématique is an alternate universe that plays on many fanfiction tropes, and is set during Rush's attempts to decrypt the nine chevron address, and diverges from canon by having Young move in as Rush's next door neighbor. It is described as a Coffee Shop AU. It is also Rush/Young focused, but Daniel/Vala also features heavily.

Ad Noctum

Ad Noctum is described as a space pirate AU. Unlike the other two, it is from Dale Volker's POV, and features Volker being kidnapped by Lucian Alliance alligned Rush and Telford. The author describes it as having an Our Flag Means Death vibe.

Removal From The Internet and Subsequent Rewrite

The works were originally published on Archive of Our Own, and the original unfinished versions can still be found on cleanwhiteroom.net. Later in 2015, they were removed from AO3 along with the rest of cleanwhiteroom's works, but in 2021 CWR began to post extensive rewrites of the old chapters as well as entirely new chapters.

Where was this for a decade?: Sorry kids. I had to walk a little further into the fog. And, to do it, I had to take everything with me. But, in your absence, the Misted City has elaborated itself. The pathway begins to clear.

Why revise FoD now?: I was an inexperienced writer and human when I launched myself into FoD, and some of my early quirks cry out for correction. But, more than that, I spent a decade alone with the Multiverse Triptych. It’s alive now, kids. I’ve got a few more shades of paint to bring to the canvas.
