Interest checks for a Kingdom Hearts-themed cookbook opened from November 6 to November 16, 2019[1]. The zine's social media account reported a total of 216 responses [2]. Contributor applications began on December 1, 2019, and ended on December 22, 2019[3]. Results emails were sent on January 1, 2020[4].

Preorders opened on May 11, 2020, with the following pricing tiers[5]:

  • Appetizer Bundle ($15 USD) - Digital Zine
  • Entree Bundle ($30 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine Add-on for $2 USD
  • Full Course Bundle ($45 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Buttons, Double-sided Charms, Sticker Sheet, Bookmark

Stretch goals included themed recipe cards unlocked at 30 sales, a die-cut sticker at 65 sales, and a postcard at 120 sales, a hardcover upgrade to physical zines at 180 sales[6][7][8]. Sales ended on June 23, 2020, with a total of 196 sales[9].

During the project's production phase, the organizers announced in early November 2020 that shipping of physical orders would be delayed to January 2021[10]. The first batch of packages, the zine-only bundles, were shipped out on March 16, 2021[11]. All packages were shipped out by April 3, 2021[12]. Digital copes were sent out on April 25, 2021[13].

The project's online store reopened for leftover sales starting on July 24, 2021[14]. By September 15, 2021, all leftover sales had been shipped out[15].
