Tropes and Common Themes
Hawke as a blood mage is a common theme in the ship, as both Anders and Fenris can agree on blood magic being dangerous, making this a way to have them peacefully co-existing. Another popular dynamic is Rogue!Hawke, as it creates a triad with Warrior!Fenris and Mage!Anders. Usually Hawke is default male Hawke, Garrett Hawke, in works shared by fans, but personalised Hawkes are also present, such as in the series Reflections. Works with female Hawke, Marian Hawke or a personalised female Hawke, are in smaller number, but also popular.
Justice is also present in some iterations of this ship, sometimes as a more independent being, other times as Justice!Anders.
