Federation is a Star Trek: TOS (and possibly also TNG) anthology.

Its contents are unknown.

According to a 1986 Flyer

It was to be 50 pages, A4 photocopied.

  • The Jackal and the Dove by Adam Jenson ("The passenger shuttle Rosemary Wild is returning to Babel from Earth with McCoy aboard when Klingon extremists hijack it to protest the Babel conference. Sarek's diplomatic skills are taxed to the limit while Enterprise security mobilises, but the hijackers' secret is locked in the mind of a retarded child. Kirk and Spock know that time is running out.")
  • On the Eve Before the Battle by Jane Sterling ("The Klingon Empire is talking peace with the Federation, but the clan of the warlord, Battle Commander Kruge, have other ideas. Kruge, Valkris and Kor meet for the last time, on the eve before battle.")
  • The Paperback Voyages by JJ Adamson ("A look at the Timescrape/Pocket and Bantam/Corgi series, with a collectors' list and thumbnail critiques.")
  • other short fiction, poetry, art, and reviews

According to a 1991 Flyer

It was to be 170 pages A4 photocopy with halftone airbrush artwork.

  • Broca's Ubiquitous Anomaly by Adam Jenson ("Due to an unfortunate encounter with a harmless lifeform. Spook is faced with a personal crisis: how can a Vulcan survive with an unwanted sense of humour — and is it symptomatic of a rare neurological disease?")
  • Dear Uncle Frank by Jane Sterling ("Enterprise has an Australian on board, and she writes home with news, gossip and adventures.")
  • Dear Uncle Frank Again by Jane Sterling ("Yep, the Aussie's saga continues.")
  • The Carrier 60 Incident by G.W. Conrad ("Enterprise responds to a distress signal and finds a giant ore-hauler with its crew mysteriously vanished, and an unknown exomorph haunting its halls. The creature is very young, incredibly ancient, totally lethal... and absolutely innocent.")

Plus lots more! Contents has not yet been finalised, a couple of major titles are still to arrive. This is our first all-TREK zine and is based on the original series. Stories based on the films and THE NEXT GENERATION may put in an appearance at a later date. Please note, the zine has not yet been scheduled, but should be available during the first half of 1992.

The material currently scheduled is a reissue of stories that have been out of print for at least five years and will probably be new to most collectors at this time. Three of the stories appeared six years ago in SYNDICATED IMAGES and are presented here with new typesetting, and BROCA'S UBIQUITOUS ANOMALY appeared in 1987 in Amy Falkowitz's THE OTHER SIDE OF PARADISE #7. We are still waiting on brand new material slated to appear in this volume.
