History
FanWorks 2019
The first FanWorks was held in-person in Detroit, Michigan from August 15-19, 2019. It was held at the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport.[1]
FanWorks 2020
FanWorks 2020 was originally planned to be held in Chicago on August 7-9.[2] In March of 2020, organizers made the decision to postpone an in-person con due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.[3] Instead of meeting in person, the dates were shifted and the con was held online October 23 - 25, 2020.[4]
FanWorks 2021
FanWorks 2021 was held online October 1-3. [5]
FanWorks 2022
FanWorks 2022 was hybrid: it was held simultaneously online and in-person in Chicago, Illinois.[6]
FanWorks 2023
FanWorks 2023 was held entirely virtually from December 8-10 on Zoom and Discord.[7]
