Fannish Jewellery

Fannish jewellery is a type of fancraft. It comes in many forms, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings. These are popular with "people who wish to hold a piece of that treasured story they love and adore with them wherever they go."[1]

Fannish jewellery can set out to replicate jewellery worn by characters in the canon text/media (e.g. the Evenstar necklace worn by Arwen in the Lord of the Rings), or it can be an original design that is simply intended to reference the fandom (e.g. a pair of earrings featuring Princess Leia from Star Wars).

Fannish jewellery is often sold in person at conventions as well as online. Popular sites for selling fannish jewellery include Etsy and Ebay; some fannish jewellery might also be crowdfunded on sites like Kickstarter, either as the main product of a crowdfunding campaign or as an added extra.
