fanmix was a LiveJournal community for sharing fanmix downloads. Fanmixes posted to the community had to be self-created rather than a collection of songs that played in canon, and the post header had to include the fandom name, character/ship name, and mix title. Posts were heavily moderated and would be rejected for improper formatting. There were 15,928 entries and 59,172 comments left in the community between 2005 and 2019, and 21,856 members as of April 2021.
