FACTS (Fantasy, Animation, Comics, Toys and Sci-Fi) is a yearly fan convention in Belgium.[1]
In late 1992, Rik De Clercq, Yves De Meyer, Steven Smet and Emmanuel Van Melkebeke wanted to find more like-minded people, and came up with the idea to start a convention. They had met each-other as customers of a local comic book store. On March 27, 1993, approximately 40 visitors came to "Het Tonneke", a café in Ghent, for the first FACTS convention.[2]
