Empire City Con was a Steven Universe fan convention held in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2021. It was a successor to Beach City Con held in Virginia Beach, Virginia by the same organizers.

History

In 2016, K-K Bracken launched a Kickstarter for the first-ever Steven Universe fan convention, Beach City Con. After two successful events, she started her own event planning business and created Empire City Con.

After two wonderful years in Virginia Beach, StevenCon moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. A bigger city for the theme, and a more accessible airport for faraway fans!

The Steven Universe fandom is very special and Empire City Con strives to create a space as warm, welcoming, inclusive, and accessible as the show it is based on.
