What is striking about this story is the manner in which it is written. Taken from Garak's POV, this "confession" piece is a fantastic example of the unique style that Liz brings to DS9 fanfic. Complicated yet understandable, "Eminence Grise" is one of those stories you read over and over again just to find out what you've missed the first time around. A fantastic and solid interpretation of Garak, Liz draws you into his way of thinking with such power and finesse, you hardly realize you've been converted ;) [1]
