Elmer is Polish, according to his trading card, which probably influences the fanon names used for him. The most common surnames used appear to be Kasprzak and Sagloo. The former comes from Elmer's original actor, Evan Kasprzak.[1] It's suggested that the name was mistakenly used on a Paper Mill Playhouse trading card.[2] Uses date back to at least January 2018 on Tumblr[3] and August 2017 on AO3.[4] Sagloo first appears on AO3 in October 2018.[5] It may be a joke about Elmer's glue.[2]
