Elizabeth Minkel is a fan culture journalist, as well as the co-host of the podcast Fansplaining with Flourish Klink, and the co-curator of The Rec Center newsletter with Gavia Baker-Whitelaw.

Minkel has frequently discussed her experiences as a long-time lurker in fannish spaces. She describes herself as a current fan of Black Sails, in addition to naming Harry Potter, Torchwood/Doctor Who, BBC Sherlock, and Buffy as previous fandoms.[1] She also discussed her own fannish history in her 2016 OTW guest post.
