Edwin Paine, spelt Edwin Payne in the comics, is a fictional main character in the DC comics Dead Boy Detectives series, and is portrayed by George Rexstrew in the Netflix television series.

Canon

Edwin is a school boy from the 1910s who is sacrificed to a demon and taken to Hell on a technicality, after 70 years he escapes, and meets Charles Rowland, who is dying from hypothermia. After Charles' death they become friends and escape Death to become detectives that help other ghosts stuck on Earth.
