"DualRivalShipping" was coined sometime before 22 July 2010 on Bulbagarden. It was one of several potential names for the ship.[Notes 1] The decision to name the pairing was put on hold by Luna Tiger in August[1], and the pairing was later officially named on the Neverending Romance ship name list sometime before 05 March 2011.[Notes 2] Other names on the poll included CordShipping, SlavicShipping, HemisphereShipping, ChildFriendShipping, MagnetShipping, FrienemyShipping and KoiFishShipping.
