Author's Comments
The episode “Dead Drop” is my favorite of those where Jim and Blair are separated most of the episode. The ending, however, is thoroughly unsatisfying form an emotional standpoint. So, I wanted to do a fix to that. Nothing very earth shattering. I must say though, that despite my trying to be so careful, I think the sequence of events – as far as welding the elevator shaft thingy – is incorrect. Every damn time I watch that episode, I think I remember what’s going on – and then realize that I got it wrong. And the next time I watch, I’m still wrong about remembering who/what/when/why concerning the soldering. Maybe the whole welding-in-the-shaft thing never made sense in the episode in the first place?
