Dracula is 1979 gothic horror film that starred Frank Langella in the title role.

While Dracula 1979 is rarely remembered today even by Dracula fans, Langella's portrayal of Count Dracula on stage that inspired the creation of this film also inspired James V. Hart to write his own Dracula adaptation screenplay that eventually was adapted by Francis Ford Coppola as Bram Stoker's Dracula, thus making Langella an important figure in the romanticization of Dracula.
