On Tumblr in 2023-24, numerous submission-based poll Tumblrs popped up focused around various fannish topics asking if people knew or had heard of characters, fanfics, video games, musicals, TV shows, and other fannish-related things.
People were encouraged to make submissions through Google forms on most of the Tumblrs, and the polls were posted multiple times a day with various options for responding, some offering more choice than others. Many of the moderators of the Tumblrs also maintained statistics about which submissions were most or least known.

The original trend of Tumblr blogs were primarily about knowing/having watched/having heard various pieces of media or elements of them, like characters, such as:
