Reactions and Reviews
Why this must be read: Because it's funny, crazy, and it's got the General Lee in it. And to quote (with permission)pheral, who brought this to the light a few weeks ago, it's cute, it's wicked, and it'll make you grin. While short and sweet, it doesn't lack action. S&H chase them Dukes through Bay City... how their worlds happen to collide is a mystery... but it doesn't matter. You get a gem of a car chase (sadly with no Torino, but the Brown Bomb holds it own), and narration by Waylon Jennings. Yep, Waylon Jennings and Starsky and Hutch. Unbelievable as it sounds, Rebelcat nails the tone of both shows so well, I could almost hear the tires screeching and Roscoe P. Coltrane screaming "Them Dukes!!!". And it gets even more cracked out at the end by the guest appearance of a van full of meddling kids. The car was a ’69 Dodge Charger with the number 01 painted on the side door and as it came over the top of the hill it took to the air in a spectacular manner, the engine revving up to a smooth, even purr. The driver hit his horn at the top of the leap, and the first few bars of Dixie rang out over the early dawn streets. Open mouthed, Starsky watched the smoke kick up from the rear wheels as they grabbed the road once more. He was almost certain he heard someone scream, “Yee-haw!” He had barely enough time to absorb the sight of a confederate flag painted on the roof, and then the car was gone, taking a corner on two wheels and barreling down an alley.
And it just gets better from there. You go, Rebelcat.

Well, Lawdy, Lawdy, thet shurely wuz a hoot 'n' a hollah!I think you managed to hit most of the chase scene cliches, with perhaps the omission of driving down a long flight of stairs. And of course, our guys just couldn't catch the General Lee, not in Hutch's LTD. It would be... complicated. However, I'd love to see a rematch: the General vs. the Red Tomato!
Thanks for the addition of that green van at the end. Too bad "Starsky and Hutch" wasn't around when Scooby Doo was doing their "celebrity guests" series (known today as the "Scooby Doo Movies"). Hutch would have gone nuts, but Starsky? I think he'd fit right in. [2]
