Author's Comments
I’ve become rather fond of this little pre-slash short story. It was refreshing to write about Jim and Blair early in their relationship (after writing so many post-TSbBS stories). I had the scene in the truck written long before the rest of it, because it took me a while to figure out what to do with it. I like Blair’s new-kid-on-the-block thoughts about Simon and his hero-worship of Jim. I also really liked that conversation in the truck. It was a nice way of suggesting slash without it being a slash story. (I could never see those guys in a slash relationship during the series.) I re-read it frequently.[1]
